Who We Are

Atlantic Insurance, Inc. is an Independent Insurance Agency located in Waterford, CT. The agency was founded in 1976. We are a member of the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of America. Our efforts are aimed at serving clients in Southeastern Connecticut. We are licensed in the states of Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, and New York.

Our company mission is to provide valued customers with the best possible service. We provide risk identification and quality asset protection. Atlantic Insurance, Inc. adheres to well known insurance industry ethical standards – exemplified by the CPCU Code of Ethics and the Trusted Choice Pledge of Performance.

What is an Independent Insurance Agency?

• Most importantly, we represent multiple insurance companies and select the best products from those companies for our clients. This is in contrast to captive or direct agents who represent only one company.
• We are locally owned and operated, dependant upon our local clients.

The employees of Atlantic Insurance, Inc. are licensed by the State of Connecticut as Property and Casualty Agents. On occasion, we will have an employee who is in training and has yet to obtain their Connecticut license. To maintain licenses, all employees are required to fulfill Connecticut Continuing Education requirements. We encourage employees to pursue advanced designations within the insurance industry.

Technology is an important component of our service efforts. We encourage the use of the internet for customer communication. Client email is given top priority. Much of the communication with our companies also is handled through the internet.

We strive to earn referrals from our clients. Word of mouth is our best advertisement.
